Can Gerald McCoy do a damn thing for us?

I read about this signing and got really excited. Then I thought about it. Now my money is on McCoy not making our 53-man. I have a really hard time believing that after sitting out all season last year, at the age of 33 and with a thousand HARD miles on him, that he'll be able to impress Gus enough to stick.
That said, CLEARLY our other guys have underwhelmed Gus to the point that he felt we needed to bring in a vet presence to shape them up.
So on all counts, I don't see this as a very good sign, tbh.
