Gruden is staying at ESPN

The little prick is never coming back & why would he? Why would anyone want to get into this ghetto mess? Jesus Christ we play on a baseball field, pretty soon we'll be playing in a parking lot with gunshots ringing out overhead! Detroit is a shithole but even they have a nice stadium. So who do we get? No one will come here. Tony Dungy? No fuckin way he comes, college coach? Maybe Jay Gruden? Or stay with Dickhead Allen. Reality is this team will never win at least not in the next five years. Its a huge shit sandwich & were all gonna have to take a bite. Shame considering our history.

I told you guys! He is the next modern Madden. He will retire as such. No more chucky talk please. He already had his stint and AD traded him away.

Why do you guys insist that Al traded him away? He didn't want to stay. Al got what he could out of it. It's water under the bridge....... get over it!

Agreed; interestingly, many of those that repeat this fiction also repeat the lie about Jackson losing the team and hence was deserving of his firing.

Chuckie needs to come back and get us another Lombardi instead of stealing one for Tampa against us 10 years ago. The irony of that game still bugs me a decade later!!

Report: Gruden would be interested in Texas job

Jon Gruden won’t be coaching the Texans. But maybe he’ll be coaching the Texas.

According to OrangeBloods.com, Gruden is “open to hearing” from the Longhorns about their vacant coaching job.

Setting aside for now our growing suspicion that someone from Texas is leaking this stuff to Orangebloods.com and other media outlets as a way to make the job look bigger and more attractive than it has become, when it comes to college programs Gruden seems to be far more interested in attracting interest than in actually taking a job.

Gruden knows the best way to stay at the top of the “A” list is to be linked to “A” list jobs. So with Texas reportedly interested in several current NFL head coaches (names on the wish list supposedly include Jim Harbaugh, Mike Tomlin, Sean Payton, Mike McCarthy, Pete Carroll, and Chip Kelly), the absence of Jon Gruden from such a lengthy roster becomes glaring. Especially for Gruden.

The prospect of a Burnt Orange Chucky helps the program and it helps Gruden, who inevitably will be coaching again. As each year passes without Gruden abandoning the broadcast booth, it becomes even more important that he continue to be viewed as an attractive candidate.

Ultimately, Gruden may be indeed bound for Texas. But not Austin or Houston. If/when the Cowboys fire Jason Garrett, Gruden could be the top choice to take over in Dallas.

At a minimum, Gruden will be interested in the Cowboys being interested in him.

If this fucking guy coaches next year for ANY team other than the Raiders, we should all storm Alameda and string Mark up by the neck.

In my mind and people will laugh at this McGloin is Rich Gannon part deux. He needs Gruden and the west coast offense and some weapons and a O-line solidified and he could be pretty good in this league. If we could have had the defensive effort we had the first nine games these last 5 games we would be in the playoff hunt right now.
