I agree with all of your guy's assessment of Carr I really do.
But...
I feel the reason he's lasted so long with Gruden is because he runs his style of offense better than Gannon did. Only difference is we had studs all around on that superbowl team.
Think back to that overtime win against that chiefs team when Crabtree caught that late touchdown and 2pt conversion. Carr was heard telling our young O coordinator he had the right play call and to "just go for it". Guy's, can Carr be better this year? Absolutely!
Lets not kid ourselves, he's doing everything asked of him this season. We're not running an offense that suits him, nor do we have the guys he needs.
Now fast forward to this upcoming draft and say by some miracle Gruden is able to secure the services of Joe Burrow, you think Gruden tries to make him fit into his system or is going to change his offense to suit his playing style?
No!
It'll be more of the same.
