So Mike Tice is retiring. Said he doesn’t think today’s players want to be coached any more. Didn’t seem like it was like that until Lynch arrived. Lynch and Downing were the main culprits of last year. The attitude Lumch brough with him is inconsequential on a team with established leaders. It was destructive for a young team on the rise. The RBs he “mentored” regressed. The OC bending to his style of blocking killed the O. Crabtree cancer in remission, came back. Penn became a prima donna. Del Rio exposes as soft. It’s pretty damning what Tice stated. That team doesn’t have one shred of a Gruden team. We are going to need more than one year to see the results.
1) 1st year- ceiling 10-6 ... bottom 7-9. Prediction 9-7. WC
2) 2nd year- ceiling 11-5... bottom 9-7. AFC west champ.
3) 3rd year SB appearance.
The DL needs a legit DT. Bruce Irvin, or new rush DE with double digit sack potential. Move Koseph to FS. Obi to SS and find out what he has. Draft a LB in round 1-3. Get a slot corner to replace TJ or keep him. Restructure Amerson and cut Smith. Grab a DB in round 1-3 depending on what we took with one.
Offense- replace Penn if we have options in FA or rounds 1-3. Have Ware and Sharpe battle for RT. Loser backs up st both RT and LT. Lee Smith vet min for depth or gone. Need a TE that can block and catch. Neither Walford or cook can block. Round 4 magic would help here. Gotta grab a WR in FA or draft to replace Roberts. Holton is still a 4 for speed and ST. Keep Crabs one year, and move Coop to the slot. Grab Hyde from SF to replace Lynch. Use Oliwale.
