LT Donald Penn expected to end holdout

Postby 790thSFS » Tue Aug 22, 2017 9:13 am

Oakland Raiders left tackle Donald Penn is expected to end his 25-day holdout as early as Tuesday, according to the San Francisco Chronicle’s Vic Tafur.

The 34-year old has not reported to practice since training camp kicked off. Entering his fourth season with Oakland, Penn has clearly outplayed his current two-year deal worth $11.9 million.

A dependable veteran, the former Utah State Aggie has played in every game since he signed with the team as a free agent in 2014.

I hope he understands that he just made himself look like a TOTAL DOUCHEBAG!

Don't give me this "clearly outplayed his contract" bullshit. HE JUST SIGNED THE FUCKIN THING LAST YEAR! If he was going to eat Mark's lunch, he should have done it THEN.

He can play it out and then go see how many teams are ready to pay a 36-yr-old LT as if he's 26 instead.

JAX reportedly looking to trade Allen Hurns. I say we ship them a fat, disgruntled greedy LT who has one more good year left on his NFL calendar.

Straight up trade. The guys filling in at LT have played well enough that Reggie can ignore Penn for as long as he wants to. So how bout forever?

Penn got greedy once Howard was cut and saw the Carr and the other linemens contracts and decided to be a baby about it. Hey Donald what other NFL team is shoving 5.8 mill per in your face to be an old tackle in this league? Nobody except the Raiders douchebag...most 35 yr old average tackles don't make half that kind of money.

Either way, this is good, he only allowed 1 sack last year, even though it broke care's leg, that is pretty impressive against top tier ends.

Of course it's good. It would have been best all-around for him to keep his stinking fucking cake hole shut and just play. Since he fucked up the "best" scenario, caving like the bitch he is is the second-best.

A not-so-good-but-not-a-season-killer scenario would have been having to cut him and either dig someone up out in FA or play Newhouse backed up by some worthless rook.

Worst would have been paying him more money and setting a precedent that says we can be fucking blackmailed by assholes who think they see an opportunity that doesn't exist. All the praise for the Raiders OL has gone to his head.

Either that or it was a twisted situation he used just to skip training camp... That would have been a dumb way to go about it, because now he doesn't have the Nation behind him. Or at least the part of it that matters.

The fat fucker is still making noise about a new contract. "putting faith" in Mark and Reggie that if he comes back they will step up and give him more money.

I still say fuck that. But if we must, I'd give him another $2M, and ALL of it in incentives tied to how well the TEAM does. Not whether he makes the stupid-ass joke of a pro bowl or stupid shit like that. It should bew tied to our record and whether we make the playoffs, how many playoff games we win, and the SB. Also, where our offense ranks at end of season and number of offensive TDs we put up. And oh, btw, how many games he starts for us as well.

He thinks he's WORTH more money? Cool. Go fucking GET the money, bitch.
