Pats favored by 6 pts in this matchup. I'm going to dig up some stats.

Looking at their game v SEA, they lost that game by 5 pts.

They had the ball on SEA's 1 yd line with 3 seconds to go in the game. They tried to smash it in with newton and got stuffed. So they were literally within a yard of beating one of the top 4 best teams in the league. And looking at the drive charts, Newton was slinging the ball all over the field, throwing for 400 yds and 1 TD, rushing for 47 yds and 2 TDs.

Newton threw primarily to Edelman (19 receiving yds), Harry and Byrd. So we can't really say "if we cover X we can contain the passing game." yes, Edelman was prolific but if we focus on him, Newton has shown he's perfectly willing to throw to other guys.

Instead, the focus has to be on Newton himself. Getting to him on passing downs and containing him when he tries to run. Because outside of Newton, they only had 21 rushing yds.

Cam Newton is the end-all, be-all offense for the Pats. We have to throw the kitchen sink at him and let the chips fall where they may.

As tough as accurate passers are to play against, we've been horrible against scrambling qb's. Cam has his mojo back and will probably scramble for 100 yards on us.
That said, Carr so far has been playing with no regard for what his critics think or say. So we have a real shot at this.

Not if we have Abram spy him.

Patriots center just broke his thumb! I don't like the fact that were back to practicing at 10am, but our guys are hurting after laying everything on the field.
Let em rest.
The media is praising Cam like no other, I love bieng the underdog, LFG

Cam's a bitch. If Abram can get a good shot in on him, he'll lay down and cry.

We're probably going to lose this one, guys.

Henry Ruggs, Trent Brown and Kwiatkoski are all OUT for this game.

And Incognito on IR.

BOTH Waller & Jacobs are questionable.

I think we would have lost to the Saints without Ruggs.

This is EXACTLY the kind of injury bullshit we were all talking about when we were predicting W/L records. THIS is the kind of injury report that lost us 5 of our final 6 games last season.

The Saints team was a good measuring stick to see where the team is at. Quality opponent, big lights with a prime time game, versus a top 10 defense to boot.
This is another top team and were having to travel back east once again. I think we have better players, but NE may be better coached. Bill has Cam playing like a rookie again and I'm not sure we have anyone to contain Edelman.
Again, if we win it'll be because the entire team full of hungry guys want it more. The entire team has to travel well, get a good nights sleep and stack another hard fought win together until the injured players get healthy.
If we do manage to pull it off, we'll have momentum going ba k home versus another tough Bill squad.

If you're sitting at 4-0 going into the KC match up, ohh mannnnn.
One game at a time though. Hopefully Carr keeps his intensity up the entire time. Go hang 30 plus points on the vaunted Pats D and we'll know we have something.

Actually, I think we will win this one. I'm not impressed with Cam. I think the Pats magic is gone. If Carr is on, I think we win this.

Too many key injuries. Ruggs, Incognito, Brown, Kwiatkoski.

Sam Young BETTER be ready to go at RT, and STAY out there. Because we need Good to play LG.
