Guenther on the hot seat?

When Gruden kicked Brentson Buckner to the curb and brought in Marinelli a lot of people thought it was a mistake, thought Buckner had the players' respect and did a great job w our rooks, etc. etc. And that was all true, Buckner did a great job for us last season as DL coach.
But I saw something different in the Marinelli hire. I saw Gruden bringing in a mid-stream replacement for Guenther in case our defense continued to play soft and, let's face it, shitty.
Marinelli has an assload of experience not just as a DC, but the dude has been a HC as well. And in Marinelli's final 3 seasons as DC in Dallas (2017-2019), his defenses were top-10 every year. So I think Gruden wanted him in here working with the D, getting familiar with it so that when Guenther shit the bed he could make the move somewhat seamlessly, with the least amount of disruption.
So now I'm looking at our defense and saying our shit sucks ass. Our D is weak, soft, all those different cliches. And I think that last TD drive by the Saints really, really pissed Gruden off.
Fast forward to post-game interviews and Gruden says this about Carr:
“This guy’s a great quarterback,” Gruden said. “We’re surrounding him with better players. And once our defense I think starts playing to their potential, he can even be better. He does so much with the ball and without the ball and behind the scenes that I think Raiders fans should really be proud of him, and I know I am.”
So Gruden believes our D is underachieving, capable of more than we're getting out of them, and that always points to coaching. So I think he's going to be taking a HARD look at Guenther over the next week or two and deciding if it's getting time to promote Marinelli.
The ONLY obstacle I see to making this move is the fact that Marinelli's d-line is playing atrocious as well. So Gruden may be thinking it's a waste of time and not worth the disruption to trade one underachieving DC for another.
We shall see. Keep an eye on what Gruden says about our D over the next 2 week. Guenther better tighten it up, because he's not the only legit option on this team.
