I think Mayock will seriously want to trade down with this pick and try to get a 3rd rounder.

But I would be stunned if Gruden is able to pass on Metcalf with our 2nd, if the Colts pass on him.

I'm really just not sold on Irv Smith, I think we can either get a TE who can do just as well for us in rd 4 or wait for June cuts.

If Metcalf is gone I would pull the trigger on Ferguson and just fucking terrorize QBs, and make that the centerpiece of my D for the next 4 years with Key/Ferrell/Ferguson/Hurst.

And oh btw, that S we drafted at #27 is also a pass rusher. Yeah.

Abram was the #1 rated safety on the board per most scouts and mock drafts. Our staff had Savage ranked higher, but glad they got him instead as I knew less on Savage.
Anyway, I l8ke DK Metcalf in the second round also, but is a a top top need?
I like the idea of a trade down also to get our guy mid 2nd round and pickup a 3rd.
While I l8ke Ferguson, heard he has some past issues.
What about Winnovich, he's the natural Steeler type guy who isnt flasy but gets shit done on those Thursdays night games.

At this point I see our biggest needs as TE, WR and LB, in that order. I don't see a player at TE or LB worthy of the pick.

There are probably 3 WRs I think are worthy of our 2nd round pick and yes, it's a position of need. Ateman is a total fuck-up who can't get an inch of separation. JJ Nelson can't catch a cold. We should have kept Seth Roberts, who quietly have a strong 2nd half of last season.

A guy like Metcalf, with that kind of size, strength and 4.33 speed - YES, THAT'S FUCKING RIGHT. He's fucking 6'3", 228 lbs and ran a 4.33. - would be a fucking nightmare for every D. You can't pass on him. He's a fucking LB out there.

However, IF Mayock decides not to take a WR, the only thing to do is punt to another edge guy. Why? Because we can't have enough edge guys, and there are still a couple strong ones there.

Winowich has no athletic ability man. His vertical jump was 30 inches for Chrissakes, and he's an OLB.

Jaylon Ferguson senior year: 17.5 sacks, 26 TFLs. You read that right. 26 TFLs. The kid LIVES in the backfield. In terms of his off-field "issues," it was a one-time small thing that happened a long time ago. I have no issues with the kid.

Metcalf or Ferguson and never look back, it's an A+ second round for us IMO.

then I'd go dumpster-diving in rd 4 to find a TE who's a solid receiver and needs to work on his blocking game, pick him up and let Lee Smith coach him up. Sternberger out of A&M.

I fucking hate drafting DBs.

Especially after we fucking signed a starting FS and a starting CB in FA. And we already have Conley and Worley, both of whom are solid starting CBs.

Now we sit with our thumbs up our asses while everyone and their mothers jacks off in the 3rd round, them swallows a few compensatory picks, sucks all the fucking IMPORTANT talent out of the fucking room but hey... at least we got a couple fucking EXTRA DBs already, right?
