it's possible Mayock and Gruden, knowing how important this draft is, are shooting for the more polished, "sure thing" type players as opposed to the athletic types like Josh Allen.

If that's the case, I could see us pursuing Fant as well over some other potentially higher-ceiling TEs, and maybe go w an interior lineman like Risner instead of risk it on a skill guy.

We'll see how safe they want to play it.

I was expecting Allen also, but go back to the other thread of what I said about Allen.
Maybe the staff dug a little deeper into his history? Or wasn't a scheme fit?
I heard Josh Allen didn't really like football, started playing late, and wasnt serious about it until he had his kid.
Also has ADD.
Maybe Mayock went with his gut on this one?


Ferrell is no small consolation prize, he's bigger and better suited to play against the run and set the edge.
Also, has a shit ton of sacks and played great in the championship game last year upsetting Alabama.
While not flashy, I'm happy about getting a premiere DE albeit a little higher than what i thought.
After going back and watching the NFL network take on our selection, Ferrell comes from a military family, and all the scouts said he had the best character background out of all the DE's.

If we take another edge guy, it could be him in rd 2.

But I think we’ll be taking a TE and either a RB or WR. And i’m Actually leaning more towards a WR, because I think Gruden is pretty happy that we landed Crowell.

Well we need a TE and running back. Maybe 24 or 27 or top of 2nd rd we do that. I want a formidable defense for once as well. Top ten in O and D in the league would be ideal. So we can start winning 14-10 or 17-14 type games.
