Unfortunately I don't have access to PFF anymore.

Don't know the contract details yet, I hope it's not a big money deal because there were plenty of guys like Joyner out there to be had.

Joyner will be 28 when the season starts and turn 29 in November. He is 5' 8", 191 lbs. He was a 2nd rd draft pick out of Florida State in 2014 and has played for the Rams his whole career - 5 seasons.

In his first 3 seasons he was not a starter, starting only 15 games in 3 years at both CB and S. But he has been their designated starter at FS for the last 2 seasons. He has missed 5 games in the last 2 years.

Last year Joyner had 78 tackles, 1 sack, 3 PDs and 1 INT in 15 starts

In 2017 he had 49 tackles, 9 PDs and 3 INTs (1 pick-6) in just 12 starts. He made 2nd team all-pro.

And now he's our designated starter at FS. No doubt a massive upgrade over what we've been fielding the last 3-4 years.

That's all I know.

Here are some interesting stats.

Last year in only his 3rd season after ONLY playing STs in his first 2, Erik Harris played in all 16 games for us but started only 4.

He is 6' 3", 225 lbs.

He totaled 49 tackles, 7 PDs, 2 INTs and 2 TFL.

Maybe Joyner should back up Harris.

Just read Joyner played last year on the franchise tag.

That means we most likely broke the bank for him.

Thanks for the update Dead, I don't think we broke the bank for him like all the other top safeties out there.
Only a matter of time until Reggie Nelson hits the soup line lol.
Joyner while small was good enough to play under the franchise tag last season. I'll take him over Reggie any day.
I keep hearing Leveon Bell is still in the mix but likely to sign elsewhere for the $$$$$.
