Even though Mack played lights out as well as the entire Bear defense, it just wasn't enough. I hope one day real soon Carr can be counted 9n like Rodgers is week in and week out. Carr shows flashes and had some big time come back game winners but Rodgers is just so damn good.
We need a team full of capable defenders and wioo have the ammo next year to do it.

Bear defense was lights out in 1st half. 2nd half Rodgers comes back spreads the offense to hurry up and torched that Bears dee and thats all she wrote. Derek Carr will never be Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers one of best ever and is fearless. Carr is a big fuckin pussy. Had his one reg season wonder, got injured and got paid his retirement contract after his 3rd year. Kid is all about retiring in one piece and counting his money. Kis got no balls and is a fuckin fraud. He isn't a winner. All about being paid and saying the right things in his pressers. I see no fire in the kid like the great ones have.

I don't want him either. That's the rumor though.

This game validates Grudens move. Mack had a huge game, 2 sacks, TD, strip sacks exc......that’s fuckin great and everything but at the end of the day they lost. Just like when Mack was on Raiders, he did great but we still always lost. Aaron Rodgers is the man. I’m so happy he beat the fuckin Bears. Shut all these Chicago assholes up

Mack would be nice but at a 23.5 mill price tag per...maybe not. He couldn't get to Rodgers in the 2nd half. Can't have 50 mill per tied to just two players on a 53 man roster. He'll be missed but its not like we're accustomed to winning consistently in this league with or without a HOFer like Mack.

Khalil Mack didn't want to play for the Raiders

Postby blazin1 » Mon Sep 10, 2018 4:44 pm

If this is true then fuck Khalil Mack!

Khalil Mack didn't want to play for Raiders

Watching Khalil Mack being a dominant, disruptive and destructive force for the Chicago Bears on Sunday night against the Green Bay Packers must have been difficult for Oakland Raiders fans to watch.

But don't expect any seller's remorse from Jon Gruden. In a video released Monday by ESPN, the Raiders coach explains why it was necessary for the team to trade away the two-time All-Pro linebacker.

"Obviously, Khalil Mack didn't want to play here. That's what's being missed here," Gruden told ESPN's Lisa Salters. "He was under contract, Lisa. He was under contract. He never showed up for an OTA. He never showed up for training camp, and it was obvious he wasn't going to show up for the season.

"So don't forget that. We have to get ready to play, and I want players that want to be here -- that want to help us put this thing back in high gear."

It's unclear when Gruden said this to Salters -- there's a very good chance the interview took place before Mack's incredible performance against the Packers that included a sack, a pick-six, a fumble recovery and three tackles.

Still, it's hard to believe Mack's incredible Chicago debut would change Gruden's feelings on the matter. The coach earnestly believes Mack was on an unstoppable trajectory out of Oakland and there was nothing the team could do to get him to change his mind -- short of the 141 million reasons the Bears gave him.

It'd be shocking for Gruden and the Raiders' brass to ever admit they might have made a mistake by trading away Mack. Time will ultimately determine whether the rich draft-day bounty the Raiders received for the Hall of Fame-caliber player was ultimately worth it.

You don't adjust, you just dominate.

I believe Gruden. Fuck Mack. Like I said he had a monster game and the Bears still lost. Mack beat up on on that bum Kizer but then Rodgers came back & Mack & the Defense went silent. It’s obvious he didn’t want to be here. All that money for Mack and still couldn’t stop Rodgers. Just like he couldn’t stop any of those teams coming back on us the year we won 12. Carr gets the credit for those wins

We'll find out tonight if we can hang with the big dogs, if we win ( huge if) we can play with anyone in the league. If not, the Rams better enjoy the next two or so years or so before they'll need to blow the team up and start all over.
Wonder who's starting at safety for us and if Erick Harris sees some action. Anyone else read the kids feel good story about working in a patatoe factory a few years ago? Dude has talent but is very raw.
